Torrington Disasters Leaders Workshop

  • Torrington Memorial Hall Torrington NSW 2371 (map)

This two-day workshop is free of charge and lunch/refreshments will be provided. The feedback from communities that have hosted the workshop in other areas across the tablelands has been extremely positive.

With the unpredictability and frequency of disasters increasing, it is important to have community members that are in a position to understand what their community is experiencing and to be able to provide leadership in community recovery.

Day One of the workshop will deliver an all-round training in the impacts that disasters can have on communities and how they can best recover.

Day two will focus on developing a small project or training that will build resilience in the local community. Participants will learn how to build resilience in individuals, groups and communities.
