GLENRAC Committee Grabs Glory as Volunteer Community Organisation of the Year at Glen Innes Australia Day Awards
GLENRAC CEO Kylie Falconer congratulates volunteer GLENRAC Committee of Management members Andrew Campbell and Mike Norton as they accept the award for Volunteer Community Organisation of the Year 2025.
GLENRAC Inc. had a happy beginning for 2025 by being recognised as the ‘Volunteer Community Organisation of the Year’ at the 2025 Glen Innes Severn Council Australia Day Awards Ceremony, held at the Glen Innes Services Club on 26 January 2025.
GLENRAC’s volunteer Committee of Management Chair, Julie Firth, said “GLENRAC is honoured to receive the award.”
“Thanks to everyone involved in the Australia Day Awards process and our Committee of Management members for helping to make GLENRAC such a respected and trusted organisation in our region”, Julie continued.
“To be recognised amongst so many wonderful, nominated volunteer groups is a privilege and shows the amazing community spirit of the people in our Local Government Area.”
GLENRAC was also fortunate to receive another Australia Day Award nomination for ‘Community Event of the Year’.
The nomination was for The Men’s Night Out, held in collaboration with Glen Innes Rotary on 26 July 2024.
“We welcome acknowledgement of the nomination at the Ceremony and GLENRAC congratulates the Community Event Award winner, the Glen Innes Arts Council, in recognition of their musical production "The Golden Age of Broadway”, said Julie.
GLENRAC Committee of Management members Andrew Campbell and Mike Norton were present at the ceremony to accept the trophy and certificates.
“Congratulations to all award nominees and winners,” said Julie “and what an excellent piece of recognition to start GLENRAC in 2025 with a positive mood and motivation”.
